HGL was founded in Sweden over 120 years ago, manufacturing mechanical components to the hi-tech industries of those days.

In 2001 we opened our first factory in China and since then we have developed production, services and sourcing here.

Our facility in Dongguan is located about 1 hr North of the border of Hong Kong in the Guangdong province.

Guangdong (Canton) is the most populous province in China and the one with the highest GDP. Three out of six special economic zones are located here. Typical industries are mechanical, electric and electronics factories.

Thanks to the long experience of foreign factories here, the infrastructure, communications and logistics are well developed. There are good schools and a stable workforce of qualified engineers, administrators and operators.
